------------- INTRODUCTION ------------- Sub is looking for a highly skilled and organised Senior Architect to join our studio in Berlin (minimum of 8 years’ professional experience). Candidates should be eager to explore innovative design solutions and comfortable in a fastpaced environment. We expect a keen eye for composition and details as well as a deep understanding of materials and the digital landscape. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a creative, pragmatic, and iterative design process. We expect the candidate to work autonomously on complex projects, as well as in teams. They should demonstrate an ability to mentor other architects and designers, interpret client briefs, create project timelines, review drawing sets and ensure regulatory compliance. ------------- Sub‘s portfolio encompasses architecture, scenography, virtual environments and entertainment. We expect a keen understanding of visual storytelling and digital post-production techniques. ------------- We are looking for a candidate who’s skillset goes beyond classic architectural renderings and who can create concept art showcasing special effects like fog, smoke, fire as well as stage lighting. ------------- The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with architects and designers to create compelling visual narratives. Architecture Interns/Opening
-------- INTRODUCTION -------- Sub is seeking an intern for a minimum of 6-9 months, to support the architecture team at our studio in Berlin. The successful candidate will assist with research, visualization and design of various architecture projects. Target starting date is October 15th, 2024, in Berlin. -------- RESPONSIBILITIES -------- - Conduct research of architectural concepts and or materials. - 2d CAD drafting. - 3d modelling and design of spaces and elements. - Renderings and photoshop of post-production. - Create detailed architectural presentations in Indd (layout options, color palette, specific templates, etc.). - Collaborate with architects and designers on various phases of projects, including concept design, schematic design and design development - Organize and maintain project files. - Contribute to the studio’s creative environment by bringing fresh ideas and a willingness to learn. -------- REQUIREMENTS -------- - Currently pursuing (minimum 4 semesters) or recently completed a degree in Architecture or Industrial Design. - Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD 2D, Rhino or Cinema 4D, V-Ray or Octane, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop) and Microsoft Office. - Very good drafting skills in Autocad for CD and SD phases. - Good understanding and experience with AI tools. - Strong design and graphic presentation skills. - Good analysis skills of a context and a project site. - Good understanding of space typologies, building scale and volumetry - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. - Passionate about architecture and design. - Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. - A portfolio demonstrating design and technical skills. - Ability to make detailed presentations. - Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English. - Ability to meet project deadlines.
